Bob Bradley Is American; And That Doesn’t Matter

There is only one thing that matters at the top level: results.

Whether you’re English, German, Spanish, or in Bob Bradley’s case… American… results are what matter. Nothing else.

Bradley was fired from the U.S. Men’s National Team following a 4-2 loss to Mexico in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

The reason cited? Lack of results.

Jose Mourinho, the special one, was sacked mid-season when he failed to produce results during his second spell at Chelsea. And the list of managers who have been fired after being unable to produce results could go on and on.

On the flip side, if you do produce results, you will have people knocking on your door. Take Jurgen Klopp for example. Great work at Borussia Dortmund. Hello, Liverpool.

Now, after producing good club results in Norway and France, we’ll witness Bob Bradley in the shark infested Premier League with Swansea.

What’s my point?

If he gets results, he will survive. If he doesn’t, he’ll get the axe. Neither outcome depends on him being American.
