Passion is misunderstood.
Anyone can be passionate.
For example, there is a big difference between someone being a passionate soccer fan and actually knowing their shit.
Some of the most passionate people in American soccer don’t know what the hell they are talking about.

This is a big problem. (Especially because some of these people have been granted voting power by USSF.)
And quite frankly, American soccer fans tend to trust the opinions of media members and influencers who are undoubtedly “passionate” but are far, very far from being experts.
Anyone can be passionate about soccer.
That doesn’t mean their opinion should be trusted.
