Colin McComb runs a non-pay-to-play club in New York that now has a direct connection to Europe.
Here is how FC Malaga City NY describes their program on their about page:
FC Malaga City New York is committed to providing a non-pay-to-play environment.
We believe this focuses us on quality and development. Each player we add to our program should be carefully considered, because each player adds cost, rather than increasing revenue.
But since we don’t need numbers to pay the bills:
Our teams are based on quality;
We try to keep our rosters to lower numbers;
And we can be 100% honest and transparent with players and parents.
Facilities, coaches, programming, and equipment all cost money. No one is suggesting that these should be volunteered … However, FC Malaga City New York believes that there is a better way to pay for these costs than putting the burden on players and player’s parents.
