We are all about quality.
Quality coaching education, quality soccer products, and quality relationships.
Recently, all of those things collided. And I’m excited to tell you what 3four3 and Duktig Brand have been up to.
But first, a quick story…
When I first started driving down to Orange County to observe Brian Kleiban’s training sessions, I noticed he always had a notebook nearby. His sessions were always meticulously planned. And his sessions always seemed to flow so smoothly, likely due to his preparation.
I also remember seeing him at a tournament in Thousand Oaks, CA in 2012. I think the guys were U11 then, but the team was playing up one year. They did that a lot when they were younger.
When I saw Brian at the field that day, his team wasn’t playing. He was there to scout the team they were playing that night. And every few minutes, he would stop watching to write something down in his notebook.
Later that evening, the boys absolutely destroyed their opponent. Again, likely due to the preparation.
These memories (and many more) of Brian, his preparation, and his notebooks are ingrained in my brain.
The collision.
Last year, I interviewed Duktig Brand co-founder Tiffany Weimer and shortly after that, I interviewed the other co-founder Adelaide Gay. Both were fantastic interviews. I learned quite a bit about the struggles of trying to make it as a female professional soccer player. And I learned a lot about why so many female soccer players have also decided to start their own small businesses.
As professional players and aspiring coaches, Tiff and Adelaide understand the value of having a plan. They started Duktig Brand to help coaches and players get prepared. Because preparation is one of the most important ingredients for success (as I mentioned above).
A few months after I interviewed her, Tiff decided to sign-up for our free 7-week course. After the first lesson, she was texting me and telling me how much she enjoyed it. (Especially how Gary says “RRRRRRondo.”) All jokes aside, she saw value in the information and how coaches would benefit from learning more. After completing the free course, she asked if Gary and I would put together a presentation for Duktig Brand members.
We were interested, but we didn’t agree immediately. Because before we agree to do anything, we do our homework. And we always want you to investigate who you are about to do business with as well.
Gary knew that I was already using a Duktig brand notebook. So he asked what I thought and I told him that I love mine. But that wasn’t enough. He ordered a couple for himself to get a better idea of what the girls had developed.
He came to the same conclusion as me. Quality.
About a week later, Gary and I jumped on a webinar with Duktig Brand to discuss the 3four3 methodology. Their coaches followed up with great questions. One coach even sent us a picture of the notes that she took in her notebook. That was pretty cool and helps us understand what coaches are really looking for.
Then, Tiff and Adelaide went out of their way to extend a 10% discount to our 3four3 members. But to be honest, the ladies, their business, and their products are so awesome that I want to share what they’re doing with as many people as possible.
That’s why I am sharing this.
So, if you’re interested in investing in a quality notebook, or buying soccer specific products from professional soccer players, or supporting two ambitious and passionate female entrepreneurs, head over to their website and check out what they have to offer. If you decide to purchase something, use the code: 3FOUR3 to receive 10% off.
Of course, there are plenty of notebooks and notepads and notecards out there that you can buy. Just like there are plenty of coaching education courses, books, and DVD’s that you purchase. But we don’t recommend consuming whatever is being served at the buffet – we are all about quality.
Quality coaching education, quality soccer products, and quality relationships.
